I have considered the issue of human selection. I didn't think to include it in my 'short' comment. Thank you for prompting me, as it has been on my mind. Gently for a long time, and now more urgently as push has come to shove after being shoved out of my job because I refused to let the pushers jab me.

It seems to me that the roots of being “selected to live under trustworthy leadership hierarchies” originated with the ‘unnatural’ human evolution that began with the rise of agriculture as our primary source of nourishment. With the rise of agriculture there grows concomitantly those who control the land and silos and those who do not. With that are the seeds of eugenics sown because this is the creation of the haves and the have nots, the deserving and the undeserving.

One of the first acts of the haves is to feed themselves and the armies wanted to keep the undeserving UNDERSERVING. (I recently learned that Plato wrote, paraphrased, that in order for us (the elites) to have subservients to serve us, we need to stop feeding them meat.)

With this development human evolution gets the chance to humanly kick in. The few deserving, being well fed and isolated, quickly unground themselves into the role of god or near god while the majority, not all, of the undeserving will find themselves by felt necessity trusting to the elites that they are worthy enough for food. Likely most of the time that will be the case, with lots of exceptions! The balance of the rest will be split between 1) the sycophants and the future sociopaths who strive to join the elites, and 2) the discontented agitators who are either grudgingly tolerated, marginalised or killed.

This is ungrounded, human unnatural evolution because the elites are able to rise above the hoy polloi and remain isolated from them with casual blindness. The majority evolve to endear themselves to the unseeing elites. In this way both the elites and the majority learn to mistake malevolence for benevolence. Perhaps even at a genetic level.

At times, of course, the elite become so unhinged that they go kind of totally wack-a-mole crazy, kind of like what we are experiencing now. And perhaps the reactions by the majority and the elites is a loose confirmation of the genetic theory of "moribundly trustful blindness” between them because, even with the relatively obvious signs and signals all around us of the nearly pure malevolence of the covidian magnum opus, it is still being sold and bought as benevolence. And a secondary proof might be found in the serious serious challenge of anyone hearing a wake up call. It is just not in the genes. Interesting. 

And the ‘reality’ that the majority of ‘us’ ran, not walked, to the injection sites reminds me of the behaviour of rats ‘high’ on toxoplasmosis who run towards the cat. And, in fact, I am currently finishing an article that compares the triggering of mass formation with the toxoplasmosis parasite. So your comment “we've been parasitised by hostile (arguably malevolent) aliens” was a small synchronicity that brought, again likely inappropriate, laughter to me. At this time I won’t rule out malevolent aliens as parasite, because my brain and knowledge is infinitesimal. Although I will stay with the more ’natural’ unnatural accelerated evolution of human confusion between so-called good and evil.

And, as you suggest, perhaps the culling of the trusting may be worthy of a Darwin award. Of the many things the ungrounded elites have likely miscalculated is that the majority of we disagreeable untrustworthies are going to be very angry and impatient with those who implemented the culling. Not many will have yogic calm and forgiveness in their hearts. And so the sociopaths, even if 'disguised' in philanthropathic clothing and hiding in bunkers, are unlikely to survive it as well.

And I will ponder on how that fits in with the Jungian and other philosophical ideas about the evolution of consciousness.

Will there be heaven on earth? Wow! LoL! Not likely. Instead, as the old Chinese curse goes, we are living in a time of great interest.
