Summary of Obedience to Authority by Stanley Milgram

In the 1960s Milgram used actors to ‘be’ scientists and test subjects in a slight-of-hand experiment to see how judiciously applied electrical shocks could help memory and task completion. The real experiment was to see how high a voltage middle class Americans would be willing to shock the test subjects when ‘encouraged’ to do so by the acting scientists. A shockingly high percentage of the people gave lethal jolts when strongly encouraged by the authority of scientists to do so.

Summary of Mass Formation as expressed by Mattias Desmet

Mass formation is a social state when the majority of people within a society stop relating to one another directly as individuals and, instead, relate directly or primarily to the collective unconscious and from that to a nameless people-group-identity or ideology. In this behaviour people have become unconscious, effectively asleep, because identification with the group collective within the unconscious supersedes all other forms of identity, including personal identity. Both they and ‘the other’ have been dehumanised into a mass of faceless ‘we’ and ‘them’ masks. Often the majority will then move to remove those not part of the collective in-group to ease the anxiety associated with the perception that the other is threatening them, regardless of the absence of an actual threat. Desmet cites four requirements in order for mass formation to constellate:

1) Lack of social connection

2) Lack of meaning

3) Free floating anxiety as a consequence of 1&2

4) Free floating aggression and frustration as a consequence of 1-3.

Note: Carl Jung discussed an equivalent to this with regards to what happened in Nazi Germany. He described Hitler as completely unconscious, who was constellated as the saviour to the majority of Germans through the locus of their collective unconscious as a manifestation of Wotan energy with the Jews as the threat to be eliminated. Opening Query

While writing a Substack comment I realised that, from the beginning of the co-ordinated covid infection-injection psychological fear-guilt campaigns, I hadn’t thought about Stanley Milgram’s Obedience to Authority experiments that he did in the 1960s and their possible relationship to constellating mass formation. That lack of association has, on hindsight, surprised me because a great deal of the success in constellating our societal state of mass formation was the effective use of the authority of ‘lab-coated’ science-imposters to create obedience in the majority of the population. A slight twist to the controversial part of Milgram’s experiment was that in this case the constellated test subjects became their own victims when they lined up to be injected with little or absolutely no thought to question the authorities who touted the new mRNA experiment as their saviour.

Saviour from what? Saviour from the faceless anxiety of death-by-covid or from the anxiety-guilt of death-of-others-by-transmitted-covid. In the beginning of the ‘pandemic’ the authorities used the media to create a highly concentrated, stressful and anxiety forming focus of attention on the extreme threat of a named and unseen and unseeable virus. As time progressed the locus of the enemy shifted from the unseen virus to the uber—dangerous-selfish uninjected. And very much like with Milgram’s test subjects who acquiesced to the encouragement of authority, many of the injectees were more than willing to coerce or force the experimental injection into those who refused to obey the authority of the ‘true’ covid science proselytisers.

With that I began to think more deeply about obedience to authority and mass formation. Does unquestioned obedience to authority have all the signs of being the equivalent to mass formation? Or is obedience to authority a prerequisite in order to constellate mass formation? What is that relationship? What is their relationship to people and in the management of those people by the elites-de-jour who have taken it upon themselves to direct a well functioning ‘democracy’ that serves their own cravings or delusions of utopia? And what might be the roots of obedience to authority?

Injecting Children as a Proof of Mass Formation

One significant difference between the covid injectees and Milgram’s electroshock test subjects was that Milgram did not have the test subjects shock their own children. It seems likely that had he set that up that they may very well have shocked their children, given the degree to which most injectees were at the very least relieved and often eager to have the untested mRNA experiment injected into their own children. I’ll skip over the mass obliviousness these people and the authorities had and have to the Nuremberg Code against human experimentation without consent that has been violated by injecting people with an experiment without disclosing the ingredients and with-holding from them known adverse effects.  

Does this willingness to inject children with an improperly and inadequately tested experiment with undisclosed ingredients qualify as a kind of final confirmation that mass formation has been fully constellated? Mattias Desmet, the psychologist who asserted in 2021 that we were at risk of moving into mass formation, cited as one of the final proofs that mass formation had been constellated was the willingness of parents to kill their children for the sake of, and perhaps even with the joy of, obeisance to the group collective. He relates the story of a mother who put a noose around her son’s neck and proclaimed her allegiance to the ideology that enjoined her to do it. By that strong measure injecting children who were at statistically a 0% chance of dying of covid would seem to qualify as a near final proof of mass formation. Near because paedicide wasn’t normally an immediate direct result of the injection, unlike public execution.

And yet it also has some equivalence because the parents/guardians who were having their children injected seemed to be without the ability to critically question the long term risk-benefits of a new ‘drug’ being injected into a young person. They had forgotten, perhaps, the many ‘safe’ drugs that have been removed from market some years after being hailed as saviours when they later proved to be knowingly harmful and deadly. They had forgotten or were unaware of how often drug companies have paid out hundreds of millions, and in the case of Pfizer and Glaxo Smith Kline and Merck, billions of dollars in fines and penalties for fraudulent and criminal drug efficacy claims, bribery and/or lying about adverse effects.
