Alas. I, too, am a biblomaniac. Probably will be until I die, or am too senile to pick up a book. Yet, I am happy; I am in my place. My wife has tolerated it for 47 years. Now that's a good woman.

I, too, have driven the biggest U Haul truck made. But that was ages ago. The U Haul experience must be something every male must endure at least once. The younger of our two sons has had to do it twice. He does the Pod thing now.

Looking forward to catching up on the rest of your adventure; but it is 2:20 AM DST and I must get to bed.

My heart goes out to you Carl. The biblomaniacal affliction is challenging. Of course, I'm still keeping books near me. I just finished The Accidental Buddhist, have started The Buddha from Brooklyn, both from the local library; and I continue through the 1400 page The Complete Works of Montaigne, complete essays and his other writings while dipping into the Bhagavad Gita, from time to time.

Great to read you have a great woman as companion. The 'woman' who was my companion was, like me, a total mess and so we had a difficult 37 years that ended relatively calmly after I 'accidentally' took up daily yoga and meditation. The daily practice allowed me to walk away mostly calm without being totally unbalanced. Of course, I'm still working those unbalanced 37 years out of mind, body and spirit, so to speak, as you have begun to read.

Well, it looks like its time for me to continue my travelogue. You have a couple more to go before seeing that I've been sidetracked into other stuff. Thank you for the prompt.

And thank you for the delightful comment. Now it's time for my late breakfast, early supper, meal. Typically, these days, I'm eating one meal a day. Interesting process, this process of yoga and meditation.
