Introduction
I have a friend. Yes, this may come as a surprise to some of my regular readers. I have a friend who likes very much Sam Harris. My antipathy towards Harris distresses him to some extent. In part this may be because I’ve not articulated with reason that feeling and so he hopes he can change my mind about him. Maybe. His point is reasonable because I’ve not listened to much of Harris because the few times I’ve started to has felt to me like trying to ingest ipecac. With one exception, which was my remembrance of Harris having rationalised as a moral good keeping Trump from the presidential office by averring Trump being a greater evil than the (hypothetical) existence of the corpse’s of dead children in the basement the existing president’s son who openly engaged in international shakedowns and drug infused orgies that the media suppressed. For Harris even lies as egregious as pedicide were justified in order to keep the institutions of the USA safe from an evil worse than satan himself.
In a way not too dissimilar from Harris, Morgan questions the validity of that designation, ‘evil’. This has gone viral, to call the killing of (Palestinian) children evil, as did Harris’s justification for the killing of children — although this time for the opposite reason! The media world was upset because Harris justified dead children as a net good and now the media world is upset because Carlson argued that dead (Palestinian) children are an expression evil!
[TC] … if you're intentionally killing civilians you probably shouldn't beat your chest and brag about it. You know maybe you can make … the case that we had to do it or whatever but [let us weep and acknowledge that it’s] evil. … I know it's like really threatening to —
[PM] Is it evil?
[TC] —Ben Shapiro to say that it is evil to kill civilians on purpose. Yeah I think it is evil to kill kids and children … (~33:00 ‘Taylor Swift Booed. I Blame Ryan Reynolds. | Candace Ep 145’ with comment by Candace Owens; edited for clarity from the transcript.)
My having shared that single viewing of Harris wasn’t enough for my friend, who misunderstood my dismissal as coming from an out-of-context sound bite rather than my having actually attended the entire interview. With that misperception my friend sent me some of Harris’s ‘nice’ philosophical soundbites and at least one meditation. All of which confirmed my feeling of antipathy towards Harris with now a bit more substance. And I shared with my friend my appreciation for his insistence because, although likely not what he had hoped would happen, what I listened to confirmed my antipathy towards Harris.
Isn’t it amazing how differently all of us engage this world and the people’s in it? And isn’t it a puzzle how to know that what we are seeing as true is true, and what we are seeing as false is false? Owens in the above clip puts it well: ‘We're just in a new era. … I don't know what era it is that I'm finding myself agreeing with people on the left about a lot … and disagreeing with some people on the right about some things. … I think we're just choosing different realities. … Something is splintering in the universe, we're all just splintering and going … either you see things like this or I see things like that (32:06).
My friend was still puzzled, though. In part, perhaps, because my manner of presentation wasn’t close enough to ‘just the facts’ to satisfy him. And it was too complicated, he said. So he asked again, with clear instructions to me to be simple and clear. And he added that he was also curious about my sense of Jordan Peterson and of Elon Musk. I replied to him and asked him to confirm my having understood his request. Confirmed, here they are, paraphrased:
Instructions and Addenda
I will be simple and straight.
I understand the ask from you - ‘Why I perceive Harris as a bully’. That is subtle and I will do my best to keep the subtlety from becoming elaborate complexity. Understood. [Well, it became elaborate although fundamentally simple.]
I will also address my sense of Jordan Peterson - short and to the point. Will do. (More easy.) [Although as I wrote this I realised that there is some complexity and history to my ‘sense’ of JP as he is today versus the pre-convid JP.]
I don’t follow and/or listen to Musk. I don’t have an X account — although that may change in the future because my body wants me to join it for my yoga studio business of all things.
With my reply having become an essay I now add the following for my friend: for a background on Musk and his quick rise to hi-tech superstar richdom, you may find this interesting: James Corbett on Musk: ‘Episode 429 – Meet Elon Musk, Technocratic Huckster’ Oct 18, 2022. Also, Musk wants microchip brain implants and has killed many animals doing that. Starlink is likely a CIA operation. And that may give you a sense of my sense of Musk — complicated and ambivalent.

How to Begin? To Foster a Kiss with Kisin and a Harassing Harried Harris High in TDS
To begin, shortly after I began to listen a second time to the Harris/Kisin-Foster interview in order to parse out my parsimonious feeling towards Harris, I stopped to talk to a member of the mens group. He is an immigrant from Chile who has lived in the USA for about twenty-five years. He has a wife and young child. He has studied Buddhism — not sure if he is a Buddhist — and has a significant meditation practice with lots of experience with vipassana. He also likes to surf.
In our conversation I had asked him if he found me to have bully traits or characteristics in our verbal interactions through the mens group. (Recently in the group I was aggressively confronted with my lacking ‘congruence’, a perceived disjoint between my projecting a ‘joyful placid’ demeanour and their perception of my innerreality as different or opposite from that.) I had asked him about my being a bully with my language as part of my research for the essay-in-process on the book The Four Agreements: A Practical Guide to Personal Freedomwhich I see as a great example of a form of New Age spiritual by-passing. He brought up on his own, Sam Harris in conjunction with bullying. I was stunned, and asked him why he thought that about Harris. I didn’t lead the witness. He said Harris uses his intellect to beat people. He does this with a form of intelligent cleverness that suggests to my compadre that Harris is “an intellectual fraud” — his exact words. So... I consider that to be a significant synchronicity because that was also my feeling and now, with this exploration, my thinking too.
Why? My Take In Simple Language: Background
In general I hear bully language, even in the subtext or within context of the unspoken part of language. That is likely in large part because of having been born through a narcissistic bully’s vagina and having barely survived living under the screws of a pathologically angry narcissistic mother. My time with my ex was a concentrated effort to clear the damage out of my mind-body-psyche system of childhood narcissistic damage. It wasn’t until relatively late in that relationships, most clearly in 2011, that I recognised that my ex was likewise narcissistic! On top of that my ex is one of the most intellectually intelligent people I have encountered in this life and was in many ways a high functioning benevolent narcissistic bully. And that was likely developed as her survival mechanism from what I now understand was a very high functioning benevolent narcissistic family structure.
I have been using psychological and, since 2014 more effectively, yogic practises to clear the remnants of that narcissistic damage out of my body-mind-psyche system. That has left me very sensitive to bully communication, often at an unconscious level. Perhaps one of the reasons I have a deep passion about the bully nature of ‘have to’ and ‘should’ language that is ubiquitous and invisible in this bully Stockholm Syndrome culture. (For my look at that see
Unseen, We Live Bully Stockholm Syndrome And Other Oddities of Being Alive in a Miss-Spelled See of Words
In time with this process, what really amounts to my doing the deep shadow work, I came to see that I often used my language as a verbal intellectual bully as well. Sometimes with good intentions and sometimes as my expressing triggered reactive passive-aggressive anger — that one time almost got me fired for jeopardising an important work contract.
In simple language, I have been a Harris-like intellectual bully. That provides me with a psyche-somatic grounding to see/feel it strongly: I hear bully language and read it from between the lines.
And like repels like — except when it doesn’t, of course! So very likely that likeness-repulsion has intuitively kept me from ‘liking’ or even ‘engaging’ with the much lauded intellect of Harris. And the few times I engaged him I became too uncomfortable to attend more than a few minutes. Not even Jordan Peterson’s ostensible and oft repeated respect for Harris’s intellect was enough for me to overcome my repulsion. That argument gives you an option to dismiss my antipathy as simple shadow projection! Am I seeing in Harris the bully parts of my shadow self that are still lurking inside me like a deranged Mr. Hyde seeking expression by projecting that shadow onto Harris? With that I paused to consult my PS-RAP (Psyche-Somatic Resonance Awareness Process). And, rightly or wrongly, that is a particular shadow my body says my psyche is not projecting onto Harris at this time.
The one exception to my watching Harris in full was, as noted, the almost 90 minute Triggernometry interview, Sam Harris: Trump, Religion, Wokeness. The bigger better Biden baby corpse comment had caught my ear in this early-to-me exposure to Konstantin Kisin. Maybe even my first? So I watched the whole thing, at the time almost two years ago, to ensure that what that sound bite indicated was ‘valid’ and not an oopsie or part of some kind of elaborate, perhaps unimaginable, joke or nasty click bait. Here it is and, to my surprise, the transcription of Harris’s talking into writing comes pretty close to being gibberish and looks even more repulsive in script than it sounded in the interview.
It's like a coin toss for me, the Hunter Biden laptop thing, because I do understand how corrosive it is for an institution like the New York Times to show obvious bias and inconsistency and dishonesty. In how they like they couldn't even frame it honestly. It's not like it's not like like the way I would frame it.
Fall as it May — Just a Coin Toss. Music: Jean-Luc Ponty — Cosmic Messenger.
Listen I don't care what's in Hunter Biden's [laptop]. I mean Hunter Biden, at that point, Hunter Biden literally could have had the corpses of children in his basement. I would not have cared right it's like it's — there's nothing first of all it's Hunter Biden right? It's not it's like it's not Joe Biden but even if Joe like even whatever scope of Joe Biden's corruption is like if you if we could just go down that rabbit hole endlessly and and understand that he's getting kickbacks from Hunter and Biden's deals and Ukraine or wherever else right or China. It is infinitely less compared to the corruption we know Trump is involved in. It's like it's like it's like a firefly to the sun, right? (33:54 ‘Sam Harris: Trump, Religion, Wokeness’ slightly edited to abet clarity).
In another small synchronicity today I watched a ‘reaction’ video to ShoeOnHead’s commentary on the 2024 US presidential election and her horror and shock when several so-called progressive influencers who critiqued her video felt that the firefighter who died at the assassination attempt on Trump deserved to die because he was at a Trump rally and made inflammatory posts on X.
For two of several examples see ‘Blame the Voters’ at 11:33 and at 16:55. The entire video is worth watching, imo. What, really, is the difference between Harris’s intellectual morality that rationalises as good the corpses of children and those progressives who openly and publicly with like-minded good intentioned morality rationalised as a net good the death of someone they didn’t like and didn’t know because he was at a Trump rally?
During my re-listen of Harris I heard, typically and not egregiously so, lots of ‘shoulds’ and ‘have-tos’. From the transcript I counted thirteen ‘have tos’ and forty-three ‘shoulds’, mostly from Harris who did most of the talking. So he is completely indoctrinated into bully Stockholm Syndrome language.
And the extreme overbalance of ‘should’ is more pernicious bully language than ‘have to’ because it masks itself as so-called good intentioned moral judgment. Harshly that could be transcribed as ‘I know best and you are stupid not to listen to me.’ (That sounds like the extreme right, left and most of the Democrats, doesn’t it?) More softly, ‘should’ can be transcribed as ‘I am morally and/or intellectually superior to you and I know what is better for you than you do so trust the science™ and shut up.’ (That sounds like the extreme right, left and most of the Democrats, doesn’t it?) This is effectively passive-aggressive bully language that is the manifestation of devouring mother energy. And is displayed in and by myths and fairy tales like Hansel and Gretel, Snow White, Baba Yaga and the like. It is the energy that demands the death of children in order to keep them safe from the dangers of growing up. Harris’s comment about the corpses of children reflects that and more: it is safer, the good-intentioned ‘should-talker’s’ morality avows, to keep the society in child-hood than to stand up to the dangers of an embodied evil. Dead children are, in his bully morality, better than standing up as an adult to face them, to face Trump, in this case.
This exemplifies that morality, as practiced within a bully culture and perhaps outside a bully culture too — although that is hard to know given our current social state as bullied and bullying — is the means by which people like Harris (and those cheering on the death of the by-stander at the Trump rally or who downplay as kind-of-okay dead Palestinian children as war collateral) remove compassion from their human interactions. That morally rationalised removal of compassion gives space as just and proper to create an undeserving from whom it is now appropriate to deprive access to the human possibility (not right) of deservéd livelihood, freedom and life. Another example: the convid was all about creating the split between the deserving and the undeserving and from that schism was given the moral right, or even demand, to shun and deprive the undeserving from access to society, livelihood, and even life.
Morality is the rationalised bully that separates the deserving from the undeserving and energises social behaviours like mass formation, obedience to authority and scapegoating.— Guy Duperreault.
In this case it is Harris’s moral opinion that Trump is so evil that it is morally proper to undertake any means, ethical or not, to prevent the guaranteed destruction of the institution of the USA that everyone knows Trump’s election would engender. Despite it not actually having happened the first time, even with the J6 events that were exacerbated by FBI’s agents provocateurs (officially denied) and Operation Mockingbird exaggerations of the so-called ‘insurrection’. Harris is a bully because his opinion, for him, is so godlike that dead children and lying media spreading propaganda are not just okay, they are a necessary and appropriate action even if corrosive to the embodiment and intention of a just society’s sources of ‘truth’, ie, the media.
And as I was writing that it struck me as not really that far from the protection racket ‘morality’ by the various mobsters around the world: ‘we, the overlord bullies, will keep you safe from harm as long as you toe the line and do as we say without criticism or complaint’. With Harris it is him saying, effectively, ‘As a good atheist grounded in proper science™ and humanistic™ morality, I have the intellectual weight to keep us safe from harm even if it means harming people, including children, as a cost of doing that ‘dirty’ yet morally correct business of safeguarding the institution of the state’.
More on Harris Hypocrisy
And in this and several other ways Harris displays complete hypocrisy. At about 1:03:40 he accuses others of fraudulent assumptions (’Sam Harris: Trump, Religion, Wokeness’). And yet most of his entire spiel is based on his own assumptions which he seems to assume are fact because he is thinking them! He frequently assumes outcomes that are not in evidence or even, in the case of the impending Trump election, are counter-indicated.
And late in the exchange he says that what is distressing and a threat to the survival of human life is the degree to which conversations are not converging.‘I think we actually do need to have our force game together for the situations where we need it. You know and that's individually and collectively right at the level of nation states as well. But … I’m increasingly worried about our incapacity to converge on a just and dispassionate fact-based discussion on things that are just so easy to assess’ (‘Sam Harris: Trump, Religion, Wokeness’ 1:30:48; slightly edited for clarity.)
So, Harris spent a significant time in this particular exchange repeating lies and opinions about Trump as ‘facts’ to stand morally above Trump who he claims, absent of fact or evidence, to be an ‘existential’ evil so horrific that shutting him out of Twitter is deserving of the Nobel Peace prize. ‘I mean I I thought, what I thought, it should have happened with Twitter is I thought Jack Dorseyshould have deleted it. I mean I literally thought he should would have got the Nobel Peace Prize had he just at a certain point deleted it right. um But uh yeah I don't so in any case well should there, should they be forced to be impartial? I'm very skeptical of that. Should they be cajoled by unhappy people like yourselves or like you know the um the Trump fans to um to put counter argument? I mean I think so yeah yes I think if they were going to be imp[artial]…’ (’Sam Harris: Trump, Religion, Wokeness’ 26:51 slightly edited to abet clarity.)
So, he fears that our inability to communicate facts™ is the biggest existential threat to humanity and then puts Trump as an existential threat absent of facts in order to ensure we do not talk with such an existential evil! And doesn’t question himself as to the veracity or not of the factual or fictional basis of the narrative he uses to justify the correction of his moral bullying.
At one point Harris openly declares his authoritarian core, this time by expressing his ‘revulsion’ for the left for destroying the institutions he ‘cares about’.
[SH]… the extremes amplify each other right? So you've got Trump; … there was no greater goad to wokism than trumpism right? And so … I put myself … in second place to nobody — although I probably spent a little bit less time on it than than some people we could name — in my, in the revulsion I feel [to] … the extreme left … activism right. I mean it's just … as dishonest as it can possibly be. … And its dishonesty is harder to parse for smart people, smart ethical people find what's happening on the left much more confusing than what's happening on the right. So it's like so people ask me, like, and so and I spend much more time focused on the left than I than I do on Trump or on the right because—
[FF] Not in this interview, Sam!
[SH] You got the full dose of my Trump—
[KK] Revulsion is a strong word. And I feel exactly the same thing and you know why. We talked about my book before. I come from a society that's seen some of these ideas being implemented. Why do you feel revulsion? A very very strong emotion about this ideology.
[SH]Well because it's um I mean one, it is destroying institutions that I actually care about right. So, like you know white supremacy and far right lunacy is not affecting institutions that matter … by my lights, right? You know you could argue it affected the you know the White House and and the US government to some degree at the margins (’Sam Harris: Trump, Religion, Wokeness’ 43:37 slightly edited to abet clarity).
Why do I find this worth noting here? Because his concern is for the institutions being destroyed, not the hormonally and/or genitally mutilated children or elementary school children being exposed to explicit homosexual pornography and with sex shows being presented by transvestites in drag teaching them the joys of butt plugs instead of reading and math skills. His concern is to maintain the structures that are being destroyed by the left that have created these houses of horror that perpetrate these abominations. And yet he doesn’t include the physically, emotionally and/or intellectually mutilated children in his arguments. So I am left to infer that that is what he might mean — that the left has converted the institutions to Mengele-like factories or mechanisms to create ignorance and stupidity in our children. It is the creation of the factories that debases the society on the one side of his mouth while he posits as a good the debasement of the media institution, even if being corrosive, as having more value than that of children’s corpses when balanced against Trump’s existential threat to so-called democratic institutions. So he advocates the removal of compassion by undemocratic means in order to save democracy. Somehow he argues, with a straight face and broken language that the debasement of the media is to save the truth of the media..
More Hypocrisy? Really?
Harris’s hypocrisy shows itself frequently, even in this one interview. This will be my last reference to it because it is just so blatant. Harris observes that the media lies about the number of deaths of unarmed black men by police officers. In fact the lies are such an exaggeration, Harris points out, that the death of George Floyd became a flashpoint sparked by the false ‘reality’ that thousands of unarmed black men are murdered by police every year. That is, of course, a complete misrepresentation. See Harvard Professor: The Facts About Police Brutality - Roland Fryer and/or Harvard professor Roland Fryer on Disrupting The False Narrative Around Policing | The Invisible Men. Why has the media remained silent or even continues to actively promote the false narrative when it is easily checked and disproven? And more significantly here is that Harris, who makes an easy and quick reference to the real numbers, somehow fails to question why the lie is consciously perpetuated in the media and the schools. Not because it is a ‘good’ lie, surely, unlike the proper lie of hypothetically dead children with a drug addicted thug with a relationship to the White House?
That is hypocrisy: the condoned ‘good’ lie. A lie is a lie is a lie except to a hypocritical moralist who wants to rationalise his truth and intellectually bully the culture with it to whatever extent he can. (Here are some takes on the lie of Black Lives Matter and the grift of it from Britain and the USA.)
Nope, Harris does not actually criticise the media for perpetuating that easily disproved mis-information, nor for the media taking almost glee while filming the burning of billions of dollars in property, as if it wasn’t happening in some cases. And the media lied, or at best under-reported or misreported the associated deaths that happened in the riots, perhaps because they weren’t done by white police officers. At the same time he argues that the continued dissemination of false-facts™ isn’t being done with evil intentions. It is rather just a kind of stupidity, by dumb people who don’t know better — unlike him, of course.
Harris the Happy Meditator in the Time of the Bhagavad-Gita. Really?
I was stunned to hear Kisin and Foster comment on Harris as being happy, perhaps one of the happiest men they have been blessed to have met in the time of the living Bhagavad-Gita. Like Arjuna we are living when a ‘family’ of powerful forces are enacting evil in order to build back better after they destroy societies, economies and people. Happy?Really? That claim was enough to jar out of me an intuitive leap of speculation about Harris because I had not thought of him as in any way happy. With reflection I hadn’t really felt from him any emotion at all! I listened to Foster describe how Harris’s meditation app has been a lifesaver, a game changer, to him. Kisin adds that he notices a diminishment in Foster’s demeanour and quality of being present in the moment whenever Foster skips his daily Harris meditation practice. Really?
And my friend has also given high praise to Harris’s meditation. He shared a couple with me, my first Harris meditation. It was fascinating and provided me with some additional insight into both Harris and to guided meditations in general. The meditation I listened to was pleasant and what I consider to be a typical somewhat effective practice. Harris has a pleasant voice that enriches the experience. (I wasn’t able to find that specific meditation for this essay. For the curious here is one that has 17k likes: ‘Waking Up with Sam Harris - Mindfulness Meditation (9 minutes)’.)
Clouds as Thoughts. Music: Bremer/McCoy — Forenet.
That style of guided meditation I heard is for the sitter to learn to distinguish between thoughts as manifestations that are uncontrollably expressing in some way the truth of our existence as human and thoughts as objects, like clouds, that arise from an unknown something that another unknown something within us has the power to see. We are not our thoughts is the goal. To see with nuance the textures and qualities of thoughts as we can with clouds or other material objects extant outside of our ability to create or directly control. Thoughts are clouds, and we don’t control clouds. And in this way, we learn to distinguish between the seer of thoughts and the thoughts themselves. That which is the ultimate creator of thoughts is left as an open question, the one that atheists and perhaps enlightened yogis think they have closed the door on.
This time, however, I had an ‘aha’! That this style of meditation analogy or metaphor completely disengages the thought-mind complex from the body-being system that is all that is alive in the world in this moment. The thoughts are kind of above, outside or separate from the full us that includes this body. What I had realised is that with this type of practice the body is effectively discarded as unimportant or perhaps even as something to be disregarded and/or even discarded as a kind of mostly uncomfortable irrelevancy that in a weird kind of frustration houses the good, juicy and important stuff of Self.
I suggested to my friend that maybe a better meditation analogy or metaphor is to consider thoughts more like kites: they are connected to the body and cannot fly without that connection. The skill is to use the breath to control the kite’s movement with a light touch. The kite is not ours and at the same time it does not, cannot, fly without its connection to us.
During my exploration around Kisin’s and Foster’s perception of Harris’s happiness, which is so at odds with my perception of Harris — ‘happy’ being one of the last states I would consider him to have — I again turned to PS-RAP to see if my body agreed with my verbalised form of the body-grounded intuition. Observation, intuition and body are aligned: not happy.
So, if he isn’t happy, then what is he? I felt around for what might be. My search was solidified with something else my friend sent by Harris: ‘Moment’. It is a short philosophical talk on flipping our fear of death into becoming aware that we get to live, to enjoy ice cream and bicycles rides. His philosophy certainly soundsreasonable. Although I have come to the conclusion that fear of death is not our greatest fear: fear of being 100% personally responsible for our experience of life is. I realised that the much promoted fear of death is a narcissistic psyop that better engenders in people obedience to authority because of its focus on the victimhood nature of, rather than the full agency in, life.
Something about the reasonableness of his argument clarified what I was looking to understand: Harris has rationalised himself into living life in a state of artificial stoic disengagement from the full experience of life. His idea of agency in life is to be distracted by getting to experience elements of life. With his strong mind he has morally rationalised himself into a state of by-passing the experience of life by a trick of reason that the impermanence of life is something that we get to enjoy with things like ice cream and bicycle rides at sunset. I do not see how that is any way different from any other form of addiction that distracts people from the ‘slings and arrows of outrageous fortune’. It is, in practical terms, a form of spiritual by-pass that I describe in
And with him being an atheist this makes logical sense: he has closed his mind down with the absolute truth of his life experience as complete and to be guided by a set of humanist moral guidelines that buffer him from the thought of suffering and death — death denial rather than true Stoicism or Buddhism that both embraces death as fulfilment of the principle of impermanence. (On death: stoicism; Buddhism.) This approach also gives him a platform from which he can, and does, gaslight his point of view as singular truth. That is what he did with Trump versus the corpses of children and also with the importance of lying to preserve institutions as more important than preserving truth.
So, it seems to me that Harris is distracted from life, as it is, by concentrating on a particular kind of addictive behaviour. That is an intelligent mind cleverly settling itself into life as a second best experience by avoiding being 100% committed to life as it is. Or, omg, I could argue that he has in fact committed himself 100% to being distracted from life! I wonder if Harris has considered Miguel Ruiz’s agreement number two: being committed to everything we do 100%? And with that thought I see an obvious weakness with that agreement that until now I hadn’t considered: the importance of being able to distinguish between committing ourselves to distractions from life rather than to the suffering elements that embody a lived life from which are created the actual opportunities to reduce suffering rather than stepping around them.
And I don’t know why. Something about this exploration brought to mind a possible source of my unconscious antipathy towards Harris: he may be a ‘benevolent narcissist’. His intellect and arguments and successful meditation practices have brought him fame and attention — the narcissist’s soma. To that end he has adopted moral precepts that allow him to find the physical and intellectual beauties of life as spiritual by-pass from being fully embodied and alive in life. Where the narcissism most clearly shows in him is in his hypocrisies: his disregard for human existence as less important than social structures: his ‘happiness’ bypass as addictive distraction that binds him to death as enervation rather than being something fully connected to life and invigorating.
Mistaking Tyranny for Health — Harris and Peterson Took the Needle Because they Are too Smart to See the Point of the Convid
Finally, Peterson enters this unhappy tail in a significant confluence with Harris. Both were advocates of taking the convid solution as safe. Peterson significantly more reluctantly than Harris. Peterson acquiesced to it as a condition of travel and then got angry afterwards when being injected did not give him the freedom he was expecting it would. It wasn’t until after the injection that he, the world master of tyrannies, considered mandates to be tyrannical. See ‘Jordan Peterson: I had the Goddamn Vaccine So Get Out Of My Face!?’ and/or ‘Jordan Peterson Says COVID Vaccine Mandates Imitate Totalitarian States’.
I have little respect for the acumen of people who are held to be social and cultural guides failing to see that the herding of the masses was a convid psyop because it was readily apparent that the plandemic was a clearly advertised and promoted panic. Manufactured panics are in direct violation of the basic principles of any emergency: don’t panic. And are even against the law.
Nor did they see that it was co-ordinated with such rapidity around the world with what is logistically an impossibility, despite the ‘cute’ name ‘warp speed’! Consider what is required to create 10 billion of anything new in a few months and ship it. It is logistically impossible. So, it was undoubtedly pre-planned and prepared in some way. And that has been confirmed by researchers who have looked at the laws and contracts that show unequivocally that this was a massive Department of Defence ‘attack’ against the population of the world. See, for example:
A Ground-Breaking Investigation Into The Covid Dossier Reveals That The Pandemic Response Was Not Led By Public Health Officials But By Global Military And Intelligence Agencies.
Neither one saw the panic as it was happening. I’m not sure if Harris has come clean on having been conned or not. The little I saw of him in the Triggernometry interview and the snippets I’ve seen in researching this essay suggest to me that he is still in convid denial. If anyone has evidence of the opposite, please comment and point to where that is.
Somehow they failed to see that it hadn’t been properly tested, and didn’t have an ingredient list and was being distributed from and by companies having a very long track record of being successfully sued many times for 10s of billions of dollars for having created toxic drugs, improper testing, lying, killing. Harris and Peterson, intellectual giants, did not see a co-ordinated panic that tyrannically removed personal freedom and destroyed small businesses. It seems that they both trusted the government agencies as children being lead into the oven by the hungry witch Baba Yaga.
Where’s the Humour Gone, Jordan? Did Sam Ever Have Some (Green Eggs and Ham?)
Buddhist and yogic scholar and teacher, Michael Stone has observed that people dedicated to a path of truth, which is what Gautama’s practices and the ‘real’ yoga of Patañjali demand, will at some point be faced with a big decision that isn’t about postures or breath or sitting still or even New Agism enlightenment. Those are all by-passes to avoid seeing how our behaviour in them is a form addiction to chasing pleasure, avoiding discomfort and revelling in the trauma-drama we can, with ease and delight from many tellings, wring out from the narratives of ‘I’, ‘me’ and ‘mine.’ The choice will be to let an important narrative die and to trust-fall into the Universe in order to remove ourselves from the sugar coated golden cage of the samskara, painful or not, that we take comfort and value in because of its familiarity. It will often be seen or understood as something very profound and/or difficult: get married/get divorced; leave a job to start a new venture; drop out of ‘the rat race’ or any of ten thousand things. Stone observes that often that dedicated student will, when that yogic demand arrives, balk, shy away from the trust-fall being asked for. Instead the student retreats from the path of truth of Self in Life to become a humourless expert in some obscure, esoteric or difficult aspect of their ‘spiritual’ path. (Michael Stone, Best of Awake in the World: In That Lump Of Flesh And Bones; or as a Podcast; or in Soundcloud.)
It seems to me that both Harris and Peterson are at this time humourless. Since I’ve not followed Harris I don’t have a before and after measure. With Peterson on the other, I remember him before the convid with, for example, Cathy Newman. There, as well as in many other places, he displayed his humour. Since the convid I haven’t seen evidence of that humour at all. Some may argue that that is in large part because of his recovery from dependency/addiction to benzodiazepines and various complications around that. Yup, possible. My own feeling and thinking is that he was conned by the convid: I remember him telling the world to ‘just get the injection so we can get back to normal.’ He wanted to travel and didn’t see the con, the danger of ‘health’ mandates nor that they and the isolation practices that were being enforced had their parallels to what happened in Germany in the early 1930s — despite his unquestioned authoritative expertise. He didn’t see that the convid was a devouring mother tyranny being enacted. He, the expert on tyrannies failed his community and, to the best of my awareness, I’ve not seen him openly apologise for that. He has stepped down from his path of yogic truth, from integrity and impeccability with his word and, as Stone describes it, it has likely cost him his humour. (Someone else has made a similar observation: ‘Post-Covid Peterson is Not the Same’.)
Wow! Last Minute Synchronicity Realisation: How Do Hollywood Celebs Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively Crashing into Court Melodrama Connect With the Inestimable Sam Harris?
Justin Baldoni; Ryan Reynolds; Blake Lively; Sam Harris. Music: Rush — Limelight.
After a day of painting and meeting some incredible people awake to the convid scam — a woman from Switzerland who has lived in Oaxaca for more than a decade, and a woman from Greece on a three day return visit to Oaxaca on her way to Guatemala — I came home, had a small late night snack-supper and a coffee with rare cream and honey. I turned to listen to the next chapter in Hollywood A-lister Ryan Reynolds being critiqued by Candace Owens. This time I had an aha synchronicity realisation: Owens’s disclosure of the fine details of Reynold’s behaviour past and present pretty much confirms that Reynolds is very likely a narcissist. He actively manipulates people by targeting them with overt and overwhelming love, happiness and opportunities — classic narcissistic behaviour. Once successfully targeted, the real agenda is launched, which, in this case, is for Reynolds to destroy someone’s life.
Narcissistic behaviour hiding in plain sight is the synchronicity.
My having spent a couple of weeks poking around with Harris to conclude he is likely narcissistic corresponds to a significant extent with Owens’s own timeline and conclusion that Reynolds is a narcissist too. The former benevolent the latter malevolent. She makes clear her opinion by describing the Reynolds-Lively one-two punch as ‘love bombing’, which is a common, although inappropriate phrase for what happens when a narcissist finds a target — imo ‘target’ is a more accurate designation for narcissistic manipulative behaviour than ‘love bombing’ (~’3:00 Judge Slaps Down Blake Lively. Close to Closing the Eyes: Censorship — An Example and A Harassment of Harris
Google, which owns YouTube, confirmed to the publication Mediaite later Monday that it had indeed taken down the 90-minute-long video.
“We removed a video from the Jordan Peterson channel for violating YouTube’s general vaccine misinformation policy, which prohibits content that alleges that vaccines cause chronic side effects, outside of rare side effects that are recognised by health authorities,” the company said in a statement.
Kennedy expressed similar views to those he did on Rogan’s show, including that vaccines are ineffective and carry health risks.
What would Harris’s variable morality decide was the best rationalised ‘good’ or worst rationalised ‘bad’ in this case of media manipulation / interference? Perhaps a coin toss? And of course, the convid injections have hurt and killed far more people than any other injection since tracking death by injection began in 1990 in the CDC managed VAERS.
You can check that kind of information in the VAERS (Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System). In 2021 I was able to get a nice death chart. Not now, though. It appears that the CDC has ‘fixed’ or ‘upgraded’ their system to make it very hard to use. However, you can go to CDC Data and create your own data searches to get ‘raw’ data that good data-users can effectively compile and chart.
Convid researcher Steve Kirsch is good at that and in 2023 he published some troubling information for which the CDC and the pharmaceutical government and media flunkies continued to castigate him as an embodiment of dis-information evil. So of course he is mostly censored and searches for him bring us to defamation and smearing sites. If curious, check him out in substack. If you can find fault with his data analysis he has staked money — maybe $1,000,000.00 — to anyone who can disprove his research. So far, he hasn’t paid out and hasn’t been sued for false science™. See.
Here's a quick summary of the key pieces of evidence that taken together show that the COVID vaccines are unsafe and that the medical community should not be trusted. Jan 06, 2024.
It takes about 30 seconds to do a VAERS query that shows the COVID vaccines are deadly. The shape of the "onset curve" makes this obvious. An estimated 676,000 Americans have been killed. Aug 06, 2023.
Conclusion
Well, if it wasn’t clear, I have achieved clarity about my vague feeling of antipathy towards the phantasmagoria of Sam Harris as spokesman for compliance to authority and as an intellectual authority on meditation as spiritual by-passing and moral flatulence. And, it is interesting that the Operation Mockingbird algorithms in YouTube often puts Harris into my feed. Until my friend’s query, I’ve not found myself clicking on them. Now I know why — my mind-body-energy are in alignment and working on all cylinders: Harris is anathema to me because he violates the principles of living a life that can reduce suffering: he lies and he uses his intellect to keep himself from seeing either the world or himself. This promotes dis-ease and suffering because it is antithetical to a life lived in the moment. It is this moment in this body wherein truth rests comfortably for those with courage enough to see it.
31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. [end quote John 8:31-32.
When we are faced with an obstacle that is to be overcome, weakness and impatience can do nothing. Strong individuals stand up to this situation with equanimity, for inner security enables the strong to endure to the end. This strength shows itself in uncompromising truthfulness with themselves. It is only when we have the courage to face things, other people and ourselves, exactly as they are without any sort of self deception or illusion, that we recognise that we have the strength to see the light that develops out of events by which the path to success may be recognised. (Hexagram #5 Hsu / Waiting (Nourishment) p.25 Baynes/Wilhelm. My edit.)
Harris plays foot loose and fancy free with the truth and for me is, as my mens group friend said, ‘An intellectual fraud.’ To which I will add that to lie and condone lying like it is a light switch that whimsy will flip off or on is perhaps the greatest fraud we can commit because it creates blindness to what is happening in all facets of our lives. On my expanding conception of the importance of truth, you may find my examination of how the ‘truth’ of the Apollo moon landing set me free. It clarified in my mind the critical importance of truth in all things as being the base from which all healing can occur. When we have the courage to see what is truth in any circumstance, that is the base from which we can recognise and embrace the power to reduce all suffering by being 100% responsible for life as we are experiencing it. By all I mean our own, to begin with then, subsequent to that, the suffering of others around us. See
I appreciate that you shared with me your time to engage in this fascinating conversation that is, at its core, exploring how avoiding the principles of yoga in life results in delusion. It is in delusion that we foment, create and fail to see, often with moral rectitude, our place in contributing to world suffering rather than reducing it.
Request for Financial Help
In July of 2024 I had unexpected pacemaker surgery that cleaned out my savings.
I requested donations to help me through the pinch. I had anticipated that my immediate threat of insolvency would be cleared before the end of the year. That did not happen as my residency status is continuing to protract seemingly interminably and I am legally disallowed from working until that is confirmed officially.
If you are in a position to help and would like to, you can check out the details of that in
Once my yoga based trauma recovery centre is given the green light, with confirmation of my residency, I anticipate the need for immediate financial help will disappear. As the situation changes I will update my requirements. At this time, I’m about 1/3 of what I anticipate is required. So if you are curious and would like to help me, please consider my request for donations and give an amount that gives you joy. I appreciate and am grateful for your consideration of me.

Hello Guy, how are you getting on? Do you have a KOFI account or a Buy me a coffee account? I'd like to send you a coffee 😀
interesting post today. I liked Sam Harris at one point many years ago then I felt my skin 'crawl' a little bit at the sound of his 'lovely' voice. When I heard that interview a couple of years ago I suddenly understood why! I do hope he has enjoyed many nice bike rides since the election although I actually imagine him scoffing a whole tub of ice cream while sobbing.
I apologise, I can be very childish!! I particularly liked this sentence of yours "His philosophy certainly sounds reasonable. Although I have come to the conclusion that fear of death is not our greatest fear: fear of being 100% personally responsible is.” Indeed!! That rings very true for me as I have examined my fear of death in depth.
