VIEW NOTE: Please Advance Viewing to about 00:45. This is my first video, and it began clumsily and discovered I am not able to edit it in iMovie before converting it. At this time I don’t have the resources to buy a converter. And there are a couple of clumsy bits in the middle that are still there. Thank you for you consideration.
An audio only is available on Soundcloud. (My sound editor won’t launch, so it is also a bit crude. Thank you for your patience.)
The written copy of the text is here, if you prefer that, or enjoy reading along with the spoken word. The written text is where all links referred to are available.
It's Been a While. Where Have I Been?
Introduction: With Eyes Returning to See, This Yogic Mind-Body Healing Continues my Spiritual Journey
Video Introduction
Hello and welcome to becoming a refugee in the time of covid. My name is Guy Andrés Duperreault. I’m writing / reading from México about an hour out from the centre of the delightful small city of Oaxaca. The surprise of having become a refugee is that the spiritual quest for me was accelerated with the convid lockdowns and now, more than three years after giving up my job, I am a yoga teacher and give yama-yoga based life skills course in person or on line. Life is a surprise, and the best laid plans and all that.
As usual for me, the plan was for a short essay after a long break. And my fingers and current lie spelunking has taken me into a deep dive into the malevolence of feminism to a depth I could not have possibly imagined. The ‘good intentioned’ start was to say ‘Hello’ to my subscribers and do a recap of the summer.
Then the lie of feminism gripped me by the short and curlies and so with fingers dancing, it grew unexpectedly. And worth while, imo, because it turns out feminism is a key architect in the chaos in our families, communities and the breakdown of respectful male-female communication.
Now, welcome to my reading with video ‘It's Been a While. Where Have I Been?’
